What the guarantee covers

The guarantee covers the components we install to restore a specific function of the device. The guarantee period depends on the type of component. Other components involved in the restored function are not covered: they were not replaced and were working at the time of the repair.

You can take the replaced parts with you after the repair; otherwise we dispose of them according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.

Phone and tablet displays

Replaced displays on mobile devices are guaranteed for 1 year. If you think you have a guarantee case, bring the device in for diagnostics, which will show whether it is covered. If it is, the display is replaced with a new one at no extra charge.

Covered:

• flickering display (backlight or image);
• no image;
• no backlight (the image is only visible under an extra light);
• random touch-screen activations;
• no touch response;
• colour distortion.

The guarantee is void if hidden mechanical damage is found. AMOLED displays go dark when their integrity is compromised and often have hidden damage in the corners, which can only be found by taking the device apart.

Not covered:

• black spots on the screen;
• vertical lines of any colour;
• areas where the touch screen doesn’t respond;
• the frame coming away from the glass because the housing is bent;
• any liquid inside the device;
• mechanical damage to any part of the display module.

Laptop, monitor and TV panels

Replacement LCD panels are guaranteed for 1 year. We use either an identical panel or an equivalent of no lower quality.

Covered:

• flickering display;
• no image;
• no backlight (the image is only visible under an extra light);
• colour distortion.

The guarantee is void if hidden mechanical damage is found.

Not covered:

• black spots on the screen;
• vertical lines of any colour;
• any liquid inside the device;
• mechanical damage to the housing the panel is installed in, or to the panel itself.

Batteries

Replaced batteries are guaranteed for 3 months.

A drop in capacity reported after those 3 months is not a guarantee case: the capacity of every lithium-ion battery gradually decreases with each charge cycle — that’s normal wear. We explain why in our guide to how batteries work.

Board-level component repair

When we replace components on a board, we use only new, identical parts. We don’t use second-hand components, because the lifespan of a device repaired with them can’t be predicted.

The guarantee on component-level repair depends on the complexity of the work — from 3 months to 2 years. You can take all the replaced components with you when you collect the device.

Components supplied by the customer are not covered.
