Why laser engraving, not stickers

Keyboard stickers peel, shift and wear out within months, they change how the keys feel, and the glue ends up on your fingertips. We use a fiber laser to mark the keycap itself, so the new characters become part of the key.

• Won't rub off — the character is made in the key surface, not stuck on top; it survives daily typing and cleaning.
• Backlit keys still glow — if your keyboard has backlighting, the newly engraved characters light up in the dark just like the original letters.
• No glue, no film — nothing sticky on your fingers and no added thickness; the original key feel stays exactly the same.
• Factory look — crisp characters aligned to the existing legends, matched to the keyboard.

Which keyboards can be engraved

Not every keyboard is suitable. On many budget keyboards the symbols are applied by thermal transfer — paint on soft, porous plastic — and a fiber laser burns the plastic itself instead of forming a clean character. Keyboards with the right keycap construction, such as Apple MacBook, engrave cleanly.

About the colour of the new characters: it can't be chosen — it's set by how the key is built. On an Apple MacBook Pro key, for example, the keycap is clear plastic painted white and then black; the laser removes the top black layer and the white underneath shows through as the visible symbol.

How it works

Getting it done is simple, and we cover the whole island:

• Walk in to our Limassol workshop — no appointment needed. Or
• Ship it by ACS courier — send the device to the ACS office in Agios Nikolaos, recipient Silent Cloud TECH. After the work, return shipping is on us.

From there:

• Tell us what you want — a Russian layout, a second language, a logo or marking. Share the make and model (a photo helps).
• We confirm the layout and price before starting — you approve it up front.
• We engrave your keyboard or item on professional laser equipment, aligned to the existing keys.
• Pickup or return — collect it in Limassol, or we ship it back to you anywhere in Cyprus.

All work is done in the workshop — we don't do on-site call-outs.
