Board-Level Repair in Cyprus — We Fix What Other Shops Give Up On

Silent Cloud TECH is a component-level electronics repair centre in Limassol, working on the circuit board itself — under the microscope, on a proper rework and BGA station. When a laptop, phone, console or motherboard won't power on, we don't swap the whole board and hand you a big bill. We diagnose the actual fault down to the individual component, replace the failed chip, and repair the board.

In our experience, roughly 99% of shops in Cyprus only do module swaps — pull the board, fit a new one, charge you for it. That's not repair, that's replacement. We do the real board-level work: microsoldering, BGA re-balling, and controller-level fault-finding that most shops simply refuse. If someone else already told you it's unfixable — or made it worse trying — that's exactly the kind of job we take. We serve all of Cyprus and speak both English and Russian.

Faults and symptoms we fix

If your device shows any of these, the problem is almost always on the board — and it is almost always repairable at the component level:

  • Won't power on — no reaction to the power button, no LED, completely dead.
  • No charge / won't charge — a charging-IC fault, dead charge port circuit, or the battery never registers.
  • Liquid and water damage — corrosion on the board after a spill; the sooner it's cleaned and repaired, the more we can save.
  • GPU artifacts — lines, blocks, distorted colours or a garbled image caused by the graphics chip or its power circuit.
  • Short circuit — the device gets hot, trips, or draws current with no display.
  • Boot loop — powers on, restarts, and never reaches the operating system.
  • Dead after a failed repair elsewhere — another shop attempted it, and now it's worse or completely dead. We regularly recover these.

Bring us the symptom — we'll find the cause.

What board-level repair actually means

There are two very different approaches to a broken device. Module replacement means throwing away the whole board (or a large sub-assembly) and fitting a new one — expensive, wasteful, and often unnecessary. Component-level repair means diagnosing the single part that has failed and fixing it in place. That's what we do.

Our work is done under the microscope on a professional rework and BGA station, and it covers:

  • Microsoldering — precision work on the tiny SMD components that make up a modern board.
  • BGA soldering and re-balling (re-ball) — removing, re-balling and reseating the large chips mounted with hidden ball-grid arrays underneath.
  • Chip replacement — swapping out failed CPU, RAM and NAND chips, controllers, and power-management ICs (PMIC).
  • SMD components — replacing failed resistors, capacitors, coils, diodes and MOSFETs that cause shorts and power faults.

To be precise about our terms: chips are replaced, and the board is repaired. The failed component comes off, a working one goes on, and the board is brought back to life.

How it works

Getting your device to us is simple, and we serve the whole island:

  • Walk in to our Limassol workshop — no appointment needed. Or
  • Ship it by ACS courier — send it to the ACS office in Agios Nikolaos, recipient Silent Cloud TECH. Once it's repaired, return shipping is at our expense.

From there:

  • Diagnostics — €40. We open the device and find the real fault on the board.
  • Fixed quote and documents. After diagnostics you get a fixed price — not a vague estimate — and we issue full documents before any work begins. Nothing is done without your go-ahead.
  • Repair. The approved work is carried out under the microscope.
  • Pickup or return. Collect it from the workshop, or we ship it back to you across Cyprus.

Please note: all work is carried out in the workshop — we do not offer on-site call-outs.

Why Silent Cloud TECH

  • We take the jobs others refuse. "Unfixable", "not worth it", "we don't do board work" — that's usually where we start. Including devices left dead by a failed repair somewhere else.
  • Real board-level work, under the microscope. Every repair is done on a proper rework and BGA station with microscope precision — not guesswork, and not a module swap dressed up as a repair.
  • Fixed price, in writing, before we start. After the €40 diagnostics you know the exact cost, with full documents, before any work begins.
  • Warranty on our repairs. We stand behind the work we do.
  • English and Russian. Explain the problem in the language you're comfortable with — we speak both.

Pricing

  • Diagnostics — €40. We find the actual fault before anyone commits to anything.
  • Minimum repair — €40.
  • Microsoldering / chip replacement — from €50.

After the €40 diagnostics we give you a fixed quote and issue full documents before starting. You approve the price up front — the final cost won't move once work begins.

Frequently asked questions

My laptop is completely dead — is that even repairable?
Usually, yes. "Won't power on" is one of the most common faults we fix, and it's almost always caused by a specific component on the board — a power-management IC, a shorted SMD part, or a damaged controller. Bring it in or ship it, and the €40 diagnostics will tell us exactly what failed.
Another shop said it can't be fixed, or made it worse. Can you help?
That's one of our specialities. "Unfixable" often just means a shop doesn't do board-level work — most only swap modules. Devices that are dead after a failed repair elsewhere are jobs we regularly take on and recover.
What's the difference between what you do and a normal repair shop?
Most shops in Cyprus do module replacement — they pull the board and fit a new one. We do component-level repair: we find the single failed part on the board and replace or repair it under the microscope. It's more skilled, and it's usually far cheaper than replacing the whole board.
Do you use original parts?
We source appropriate, quality components for each repair and carry it out to a professional standard on a proper rework and BGA station. After diagnostics we explain exactly what the repair involves before you approve it.
How do I get my device to you if I'm not in Limassol?
You can walk into our Limassol workshop with no appointment, or ship the device by ACS courier to the ACS office in Agios Nikolaos, recipient Silent Cloud TECH. We serve all of Cyprus, and once repaired we cover the return shipping. We don't do on-site call-outs — all work is done in the workshop.
Will I know the cost before you start?
Yes. Diagnostics are €40, and after that you get a fixed quote plus full documents before any work begins. You approve the price up front, and it doesn't change once we start.
